After a long day of soaking up the sun sit back, relax and enjoy a sundown cocktail on our oak garden seat. This gorgeous outdoor oak seat is the perfect garden furniture if you’re looking for beautifully handcrafted wooden pieces for your outdoor space.

This garden seat incorporates a plant ledge, so you can display beautiful fragrant potted plants, such as lavenders or geraniums, and enjoy their scent as you sit and take in your garden. It’s perfect for patios or smaller outdoor areas where space is a premium, but you want it to look fabulous.

If you do have a smaller space, or a wall that you want to make beautiful, take a look at the Wylam Wall Planter, it’s a great way to create a vertical garden, and doubles as a handy spot to place a drink on a warm evening outdoors! You’ll see we’ve done just that in one of our pictures.

Our Wylam collection of solid oak and painted timber furniture and planters was inspired by the leafy village of Wylam which is nestled on the banks of the River Tyne. It’s a collection of timeless outdoor furniture that will really make your garden or outdoor space the place to be this Summer.

Just like all our outdoor furniture, it’s handcrafted and made-to-order in just 4 weeks in our workshop in the North East of England.

All our garden furniture is made from the finest quality timbers, and treated to ensure it endures everything that a British summer can throw at it!

In the Wylam Collection, the seats are made from kiln-dried solid oak and hand-finished with a protective oil. The legs are made from tanalised pine and hand-painted in a choice of two colours – Dark Slate (as seen in the pictures) or Sage Green. You can order samples of the oak and the painted finishes from our Samples section to see the colour options to choose from, as well as the finish that the protective oil gives to the kiln-dried oak.

Finishes & Wax

Solid Oak and Pine Timbers

To make these solid wood garden seats we select top quality, kiln-dried oak and tanalised pine. These timbers selections are chosen specifically for their ability to withstand the great outdoors. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature’s own stamp of approval.

Due to the nature of solid wood every piece of solid wood outdoor furniture will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind.

Please note:

• All sizes and weights given are approximate. As we only use natural, solid timber, measurements can change slightly from one piece to another.

Protective Finishes

To finish our Wylam Collection outdoor seats, we use protective oils and paints. The kiln-dried solid oak tops are treated with a protective oil, while the tanalised pine legs are hand-painted in a choice of two colours. These finishes are professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples.

In the Wylam Collection, you have a choice of two colours for the hand-painted legs of the furniture – Dark Slate (as seen in the pictures) or Sage Green.

Assembly & Care

No Assembly Needed

The Wylam Collection Garden Seat comes fully assembled, so you can take delivery, then just get on with enjoying your sunny days outdoors.

Care & Clean

When you purchase one of our Wylam Oak Garden Seats we also include a protective cover. When you’re not using your Wylam Outdoor furniture, please make sure you use the cover we’ve provided. That way, you’ll protect it from the British weather and help keep it looking its best for as long as possible.

Like all natural wood furniture, your outdoor furniture needs regular care and attention. We recommend that you refresh the finishes every year, using teak oil on the solid oak and quality exterior paint on the painted timbers. If you decide to closely match the colours we used on the painted wood, we would recommend Cuprinol Garden Shades Urban Slate and Wild Thyme as close colour matches (information correct as of May 2021).

Delivery & Returns

Turnaround & Delivery

As these garden seats are handmade and made-to-order we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 2 weeks.

They will then be dispatched and will usually be delivered within 1-2 working days to UK mainland. (More remote UK areas and Northern Ireland could see an extra 1-2 days for delivery). It is important to open your delivery as soon as it is received so that this can be checked over, and so that the wood can breathe.
